What We Do
ADVOCACY
The CCMBC advocates on behalf of small- and medium-sized Canadian businesses with politicians and government officials at all levels of government to promote a pro-business agenda that maximizes our economic and job creation potential. Issues addressed includes taxation, the regulatory environment, red tape, excessive government, climate policy and labour relations, among others. As we accept no money from any level of government, we are free to uniquely represent the interests of our members and supporters.

CCMBC hosts webinars on relevant topics and has an annual Gala Game Changer of the Year dinner featuring high profile speakers and award winners.

MEDIA
CCMBC liaises regularly with both legacy and independent media to ensure member’s views are well known to the general public, politicians, government officials and other relevant audiences. CCMBC personnel author opinion articles on a frequent basis on topical issues. We also host a regular television show on The News Forum network called Canadian Innovators, on which we interview senior business representatives and policy experts on the issues of the day.

PUBLISH
CCMBC makes submissions to various government consultations on topics relevant to our members, publishes press releases and publicizes the perspective of members to appropriate audiences. We also publish an online monthly magazine that is free to members. The Coalition is also active on social media, notably Facebook and X (twitter).

November 2025 – The Clown Show Budget – Special Edition
This issue of the CCMBC Magazine focuses on the first budget of the Carney Liberal government. Canadians waited a very long time to see what the so-called “new” Liberals plan for the economy.
Unfortunately, the news is not good. Government spending is up massively – even more than the Trudeau government had forecast, and payments for just the interest on our growing debt are forecast to top $76 billion in just a few years, an all-time record.
Batten down the hatches Canadians – we’re in for a rough ride. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Seems we did get fooled again.
